DisCat 2.0 Is What You Need!

At times, anyone with a large amount of data must go through all that data in order to find something; so the search begins, and often ends, in a frustrating, time-consuming search through a lot of diskettes, CD’s, or DVD’s. Wouldn’t it be great to go to a single, small directory on your computer where all that file info is stored? And wouldn't it be great if you could read text documents, or even full-text search for words within documents, including zipped documents, that are lost on a misplaced CD somewhere on your shelf? No software in the world offers you this possibility- until now.

Sounds great but seems impossible. A few hundred CD’s would take up 150 gigabytes of hard drive space (which is why all those CD’s exist in the first place). Believe it or not, DisCat can take a 750 MB CD of data and reinterpret it into a single file that is anywhere from 1-15MB, depending on the type of data. You can read the documents or browse the thumbnails from hundreds of CD’s or DVD’s right from the computer. As incredible as it may sound, DisCat makes all of this possible. Life in the Information Age just got easier. Since it really does sound unbelievable, we suggest you download DisCat and try it for thirty days free. See for yourself, you’re going to love it, and you’re going to be very happy about all the time you save.

March 8, 2005. DisCat has its first day on the internet. The software is expected to do quite well on the market for many reasons. Most importantly, it is the only software of its kind. No other software exists that has so many convenient and valuable features for cataloguing the data on removable storage disks.

February 28, 2005. DisCat has successfully passed all testing and is nearly ready for internet sales. The first market version is the DisCat 2.0 version, which will soon be a downloadable, thirty day, free trial version. DisCat was mapped out by the software engineers so that new plugins and modules planned for the future could be added with ease. Genutronics is expected to announce its plans for new plugins and modules in the next few months.

November 15, 2004. DisCat Beta testing begins. After having passed a through alpha testing phase, Genutronics programmers have now begun the Beta testing of DisCat 2. In this phase they run performance tests. They tried finding the maximum number of media images that DisCat could create and compress into its database, but they have not yet hit a critical maximum, meaning the DisCat user can indeed scan and store all the necessary storage disk data to create his or her library. The Discat programming team expects to have a very solid market version of DisCat within the next six to eight weeks.
